What We Do Not Take On
We work on garage doors - the door itself, the opener, the track, the springs, the cables and rollers that make it all move. We don't install fences, gates, or carports, and we don't take on full remodel jobs where a garage happens to be part of the scope. If your header or framing needs carpentry beyond mounting hardware, we'll say so up front instead of charging for a visit that turns into guesswork.
Most of the houses we get called to here went up between 1973 and 2013, with the bulk of that stock dating to the early 2000s. That range covers a lot of different spring sizes, track widths, and opener mounts, and we don't pretend every part is sitting on the truck.
Older torsion setups from the earlier end of that build window sometimes mean a parts run before we can finish, and we'd rather tell you that on the phone than let you wait around on a job we said would be quick. If a door is past the point where a repair makes sense, we'll tell you that too, instead of patching something that'll fail again in a month.
The Areas We Cover
We're based in Richardson, and most of our calls stay close to home. Murphy is about six miles out, Parker eight, and University Park and Farmers Branch both sit around ten, same as St.
Paul. Highland Park is eleven miles from us, Lucas twelve, Fairview thirteen.
Farther out we still take calls in Sunnyvale, about fifteen miles, and Lavon and Heath, both around sixteen. Lowry Crossing runs seventeen, and Balch Springs, Fate, New Hope, and Princeton all land around nineteen miles out. Lake Highlands is close, about six miles south.
Across this whole stretch, the housing runs newer than a lot of North Texas - homes built mostly from 1973 through 2013, with 2000s construction being the most common single decade. That matters for us because it means openers and torsion hardware from a fairly consistent set of eras, which is part of why we can usually name the part before we're out of the truck. The service area we cover holds 70,430 households, 45,046 of them owner-occupied houses, with a median household income of $131,139 - mostly single-family stock, not high-rise or heavy multi-family.
The Short Version
We fix garage doors - springs, openers, tracks, cables, panels - for houses in Richardson and the towns around it, mostly within about twenty miles. The building stock we deal with day to day was mostly put up between 1973 and 2013, and we work in a climate band that's moderate on heat load, which shapes how often openers and seals give out compared to a harsher climate elsewhere.
We're not a remodeling outfit and we don't touch gates or fencing. If a job needs more than door hardware, we'll say so before we start. You can reach us at 14697963180, or find us at 901 S Central Expy, Richardson, TX 75080.
